Terms of use

Last updated October 3, 2026. By using NineCatHoops you agree to these terms.

The service

NineCatHoops is a free hobby project for nine-category head-to-head fantasy basketball. It is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, and may change, break or stop at any time.

Projections are estimates

Rankings, projections, odds and trade or waiver suggestions are statistical estimates and can be wrong. They are for fun and research: they are not betting or financial advice. Season odds are labeled "not yet calibrated" where that applies.

Your account

Keep your password safe; you're responsible for what happens under your account. One person may hold more than one account, but not to get around the limits below.

Fair use

• No automated access: no scraping, bots, scripted sign-ups or load testing without permission.
• No attempts to break, overload or get around the site's security or limits (saved items, imports, request sizes).
• Only import Yahoo leagues you belong to and that their commissioner has made publicly viewable.

We may limit, suspend or delete accounts that break these rules.

Data and trademarks

Statistics come from public sources (see About). NBA, team and Yahoo names belong to their owners; NineCatHoops is not affiliated with or endorsed by the NBA, its teams, ESPN or Yahoo.

Donations

Any support link is entirely voluntary. A donation buys nothing, unlocks nothing and isn't refundable.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from using the site, including fantasy outcomes.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date at the top changes when we do. Continuing to use the site means you accept the current terms.
